NAIL TECHNICIAN (Tolleson Campus only)

600 Hours

• 5 and 6 Months of Duration.
• 19 Weeks (600 Hours) of Instruction: Full Time.
• 24 Weeks (600 Hours) of Instruction: Part Time.
• The duration of the program may vary depending on the schedule.

Program Description

The Nail Technician Program consists of 600 clock hours covering all phases of the manicure and pedicure mandated by the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology. The program is designed to prepare the student to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level position in the field of nail technology and to pass the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination. A Nail Technician license is a requirement to operate as a Nail Technician in the state of Arizona. Approximate number of weeks to complete the program based on hours completed per week.

Program Format

The program format includes, but is not limited to, lectures, readings, video / audio, demonstration, and practice in performance and assessment, both written and oral.

Educational Goals

The Nail Technician program is designed to prepare students for the state licensing exam and for profitable employment as a nail technician, manicurist, product demonstrator, or nail artist. The knowledge and skills will prepare licensed students to perform skills such as manicures, acrylic nail, and nail tip applications, and wraps and repairs.

Our College of Beauty offers a free placement to all of our graduates.

However, we cannot guarantee you a job.

Our staff will assist you during the employment process as follows:

1. Provide you with a current list of employment opportunities for the licensed professional.
2. It will help you in scheduling an interview.
3. Monitor your placement and employment progress for 90 days.

Job Placement Opportunities FOR ALL PROGRAMS may be limited for someone with a criminal record. Please note that most employers conduct background checks, and some do drug tests. To be eligible for Job Placement assistance a graduate must have legal employment status in the United States. Financial Aid

Paying for Beauty School is possible!!!! Financial aid is available to those who qualify. You can fill out the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see what you may qualify for. Xtylo Beauty College accept payments from Pell Grants and other Federal Loans.

Xtylo Beauty College is dedicated to maintaining a high-quality beauty education that is affordable for our students. We understand that finances can stop students from achieving their dreams. That’s why we have a highly-skilled staff available to answer questions about financial aid, scholarships, and other forms of financial assistance.

Financial aid is only available to those that qualify. Students who are eligible need to file a Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)(use our school FAFSA code: 042863 when applying, Phoenix, AZ as soon as they begin financial planning. A scholarship is awarded money that pays either some or all your tuition. One of the biggest advantages of scholarships is that they are awarded independently, which means that even if you don’t qualify for other financial aid options, there may still be scholarships out there for you!

Types of Scholarships

Luckily, scholarships aren’t just for traditional colleges. There are many different types of scholarships out there available specifically for beauty school students. At Xtylo Beauty College we proudly accept scholarships from other organizations and sources. Some of the different types of scholarships we accept include:

• High School Scholarships: These are offered to eligible high school students who wish to enroll in a licensing program before they get their high school diploma
• Need-Based Scholarships: These are offered to students who demonstrate financial need.
• Non-Essay Scholarships: These types are typically the easiest to fill out because they don’t require an essay.
• Private Scholarships: These are funded through companies, foundations, or service groups.

These are just a few different types of scholarships available to you. If you want to start applying for scholarships but aren’t sure where to look, one of the best resources for scholarships for beauty students is the American Association of Cosmetology Schools(AACS). They partner with industry sponsors to provide deserving beauty students with grants and scholarships available to students who have been accepted to their beauty school or are currently enrolled.

We have always taken special care to make our education accessible to all who are interested in building a career in beauty. As well as accepting outside scholarships, we also offer internal scholarships.
